The 'TAG' in TAG Baby embodies our names, Tanvi & Ankit Govind, a union sparked by our shared love for preserving life's most cherished moments. Our journey began with a vision—to capture the genuine beauty of maternity, the innocence of newborns, and the warmth of family bonds. Founded while expecting a child of our own, we believe that every milestone is a treasure, our passion for freezing these precious moments in time led us to create TAG Baby.

How was TAG Baby founded?
When Ankit and I received the news we were expecting our first child, I looked to find someone who could authentically capture our journey into parenthood and the growth of our family in a natural, timeless manner - which was something I struggled to find. Some of the studios that we looked into had images that looked over-edited and had unnatural smooth skin.
As professional wedding photographers with over 16 years of experience. We love capturing stories and once-in-a-lifetime moments. Our editing style has consistently been natural and true to life. We wanted to bring the same vision and create the same experience in our studio, so we can document your unique journey into parenthood.
Our journey began when we came across an educator with over 15 years of newborn photography experience who also held in-depth 1:1 masterclasses. We both knew that we needed to learn the safety aspects of handling and positioning newborn babies - we also thought this would prepare us for the upcoming arrival of our baby!
During the class, we had the opportunity to work with beautiful newborns under the age of 14 days. We had hands-on practice in safety, handling the baby and baby wrapping techniques. We learnt new studio lighting techniques and how to create a comfortable environment for the babies and their families.
What is our vision?
TAG Baby is about encapsulating the essence of natural, timeless photography that cherishes every moment authentically. We aim to blend the beauty of classic poses with the spontaneity of unposed, genuine, and candid moments. We believe in crafting portraits that stand the test of time.
We strive for a natural aesthetic that captures the true essence of your family—moments that reflect emotions, connections, and the beauty of each stage, from maternity to newborn and throughout your family's journey. Whether it's the tender embrace of a mother-to-be, the tiny fingers and toes of a newborn, or the laughter shared among family members, our goal is to freeze these moments into artful images that evoke emotion and nostalgia for years to come.
By encompassing both, we’re able to create a narrative that feels authentic and intimate which resonates with the raw emotions experienced during these special milestones. We believe that photography is true storytelling, and documenting the journey of a growing family is of great importance to be able to look back at and appreciate the precious moments you shared along your journey.
How does TAG Baby create natural, timeless photography?
To create this particular style we focus on 3 main things:
Posing vs Candid
We want to be able to capture the perfect balance of both posed and candid moments. The use of props enables us to create those classic posed images which serve as beautiful images, but we also want to capture those moments of intrigue. Especially with Newborns being so new to the world, capturing their thoughts and feelings through the lens is only possible when allowing them to just be. Interactions with yourself and your newborn as also precious moments that can be carefully captured.Attention to Detail
Our set-up plays a huge part in capturing the right style, which includes props, lighting, composition and ambience. It’s key that we use soft lighting as this highlights the small details and helps to diffuse harsh shadows and contrasts. We take into consideration framing, angles, and perspective to create visually captivating and harmonious images that draw the viewer's eye to the most important aspects of the scene. We meticulously choose the background and props, ensuring they complement your narrative.Minimalistic Editing
Keeping our editing down to a minimum is essential in creating a natural style. We want to produce photographs that are true to the moment.
